Experience
A journey from auditing to acquisitions
Starting out in audit
Like many good stories, mine started with hard work. I began my career as an auditor with Baker Tilly, committed to understanding the industry inside out. There I audited both listed and non-listed companies across a wide range of sectors, and took on business advisory and special-investigation engagements that taught me how businesses really work beneath the numbers.
I then gained further experience at LTC LLP, an affiliate of the BKR International firm in Singapore. By the time I was ready to branch out, I had audited companies in Singapore, Malaysia, China and several other regional markets — spanning manufacturing, trading, retail, hospitality, construction, water-treatment plants, software engineering, property development, investment holdings and the non-profit sector.
Building a corporate service provider
In 2012 I embarked on the next chapter with a Singapore corporate service provider, contributing to its growth and evolution over the years. With an eye on technology-driven expansion, I transitioned into the role of Chief Technology Officer in 2019. As the business matured and stabilised, the case for a fresh perspective and for divesting grew — and in 2020 I sold my stake to a strategic investor to help accelerate the firm's next phase of growth.
Antler and the move to investing
In 2022 I joined the Antler programme, a platform known for nurturing and empowering entrepreneurs. There I sharpened my entrepreneurial thinking, widened my network, and gained a deeper feel for the dynamics of building and backing new ventures.
Since then I've worked as an independent strategic investor and business broker, actively pursuing promising opportunities and innovative projects. Drawing on my background in corporate services, I evaluate ventures with a discerning eye — and I help owners of accounting, tax and secretarial firms realise the value of what they've built.
